School Squad.

As well as the swimming club the School has a number of members from the club that represent their school in school swimming competions up to national level and internationl level.

Below are some of their results and acheivments;

ESSA Divisional Championships 2008

A number of the pupils from the school qualified for the championships held on 24th & 25th October at Enfield North London, they were Jordan Purdy, Charlotte Hicks, Pascale Reeves, Alex Harrison & Thomas Sutton plus the club coach Sue Purchase went as divisional team coach.

Secondary Schools Team Championships 2008.

On a cold snowy day 3 Relay Teams from St Felix School braved the icy conditions and travelled to Sheffield for the 50th Anniversary of the Secondary Schools Team Championships. This was an exciting time for St Felix because with many new swimmers joining the school they qualified, at the last round, with a Junior boys team getting through on both the freestyle and Medley relay and a Junior and Senior girls Team qualifying in both the freestyle and medley relay also. Against strong competition the Senior Girls team, Alex Huston, Rebecca White, Rebecca Wetten and Catherine Hicks swam superbly, getting through to the final in both relay events. Although again performing well in the final they could not quite get themselves into the medal position. Again the Junior Boys Team, Luke Bailey, Jordan Purdy, George Stannard and Jack Bartlett swam brilliantly but again being part of the top three teams eluded them. The junior girls, Alex Harrison, Pascale Reeves, Annabelle Stannard and Chantelle Whiting had two excellent relays getting through to the final in both, and although getting the closest to a medal they just missed out by coming 4th in both finals. The disappointment soon changed to jubilation when the team discovered that in the medley relay they had moved up to bronze position after one of the other teams had been disqualified. This meant that St Felix School did not return empty handed with the junior girls bringing home a trophy.
